Aevin and Anina, grade 10 students from Stellys Secondary School were part of their school’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative.
Part of the YPI is to select a non-profit organization then research and interview a staff member about that org.
Aevin and Anina met with Evan and learned about Umbrella and the good work we do in the community,
and how many people we help every year.
Today was the YPI presentations and Umbrella was selected as the charity winner!
Thank you to Aevin and Anina for choosing Umbrella and for the hard work you put into your final presentation.
We are applying 100% of these funds to our successful High School Education program – where we educate youth on substance use issues, recovery and Umbrella.
The education team will see you all in the fall!
