Today, Evan, Sharlene and Erik met with Deputy Chief Constable Jamie McRae and Inspector Jeff Lawson at Foundation House. We invited these two officers to the house to learn more about Umbrella and the work we do, but more importantly, we wanted to connect so that we could provide information and takeaways for these officers to share with their team.
Police are front line workers and it is helpful if they have resources handy to share with those who may be struggling and asking for help to make changes.
The police are an important part of our community, and we are grateful they spent some time learning about Umbrella and ways they can help people engage with recovery.
