How Umbrella is managing with the COVID 19 pandemic
During these uncertain times with social distancing, self-isolating and staying healthy, the Umbrella team is still working hard, we have just made some changes on how we are working.
For our clients, we are still providing exceptional support. Our outreach and counselling teams are making contact via telephone, email, text message or Messenger with all our clients, including those on the waitlist.
RAAC (Rapid Action Addiction Clinic) is still open for new clients and both the SURF and IMC Teams are working in the community providing support while following the guidelines from our Federal and Provincial Governments.
All of our houses are full, and we are protecting our residents with alternate ways of meeting and checking in, and every resident has an outreach worker that is in daily contact.
SMART Recovery meetings will be offered via ZOOM, beginning Wednesday, April 1 at its usual time, 12pm. Lesley will be hosting, and we will be posting the call in and meeting numbers, in the next few days. Keep your eyes on our webpage and/or Facebook page for that information.
All of our groups are canceled for now, but we are still answering our phones if you, or a loved one, needs support.
