On Wednesday, Umbrella Team Lead Jake organized a bbq at our office for the staff. Thank you to the residents at Umbrella’s Foundation House for lending us their bbq for a few hours! We were also very grateful to have some items donated by some fantastic businesses:
Big thank you to Colleen, the fabulous legendary owner of the Sidney Bakery (who have been in business moving buns for 108 years!) for generously donating some delicious buns for our hot dogs and smokies.
Thank you as well to the Save on Foods (Canadian owned and operated for 110 years!) at Fort and Foul Bay for donating a gift card to buy smokies and snacks.
Getting this support from local Canadian businesses is amazing, and as a non-profit always so appreciated!
