My bi-polar daughter who sought escape from her demons with substance abuse met an Umbrella peer outreach worker in the hospital emergency ward. It marked the beginning of her journey to good health and Umbrella has been there every step of the way. They facilitated detox, located treatment programs, stayed connected to her throughout and worked with our family as a whole. She has now completed her education and is on the way to being a contributing member of the community. As a result, I now volunteer my time and share how Umbrella can help clients and their families.
