The new year is a perfect time to try new things, learn new skills and meet new
people!
In this six week class, we’ll introduce you to the building blocks of improv. Improv
is based on a philosophy of support, collaboration and zero-judgement.
Together, we’ll explore storytelling, character, environment, games and short
scenes.
Not only is improv a lot of fun but research shows that doing improv reduces anxiety,
increases creativity and improves mood.
The class will be facilitated by Kevin Matviw and Nikola Brabenec. Kevin is a
professional improviser and comedian who previously taught improv for Second
City in Toronto. Nikola is a new (but enthusiastic) improviser who has worked as
a substance use counsellor for 14 years.
