Treatment for people using opiates

In response to the overdose crisis, Island Health formed a rapid access clinic in Victoria. The Rapid Access Addiction Clinic (RAAC) supports people with problematic opioid use who are ready for treatment with Buprenorphine (Suboxone) or Methadone.

Umbrella Society is providing peer support and outreach services at the clinic.

The RAAC accepts referrals from service providers, doctors, and Island Health, including the Emergency Department.

Referred RAAC clients are offered booked appointments. Limited walk-in appointments are also available.

The rapid access clinic is located at 1119 Pembroke, and is open from 9-12 weekdays, except Tuesday.
